Difference between fidya and fitrah
Question
Kindly tell me difference between fidya and fitrah. Also let me know about the current rates of both fidya and fitrah in rupees.
Answer
Fitrah is given on Eid-ul-Fitr and fidyah is given as a compensation. For example, if one did not fast he gives a fidyah for the fast that he missed.
You may contact the local Ulama body for the rate.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Where scholars differ, it’s safer to take the more cautious view.
