Question

I am a sunni girl, Sayyed by cast and got a proposal from a Khoja Shia non Sayyed boy.

My question is, is it ok to get married into a Shia family? If so, what is the right way to do nikaah? Should it be done both ways?

Answer

Generally the Shiahs believe that the Qur'aan was distorted and the Quraan we have is not the original Quraan. Many a times they revile the Sahaabah. To believe that the Qur'aan has been changed or a word has been left out is disbelief and nikaah with a disbeliever is impermissible.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
