Using interest money to pay a salary
Question
I have a helper whom I pay on a monthly basis. For 1 month I was not at home so she did not come to work. However I will still pay her wages at the end of the month. Is it permissible to pay these wages with interest money as she has not worked the whole month?
Answer
If the contract was that she is employed by you for that month, then it is not permissible for you to pay her with riba.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
